Solutions for Hospitals

UroSense™ Overview

We are working to ensure that UroSense™ moves to the forefront of urological care in the Intensive Care Units ICU within hospitals. ICU nurses today spend over 30 minutes of every shift manually performing urine monitoring functions¹ (Source: HRI and FPM Market Research Study).

The value proposition of UroSense™ now includes

A. Elimination of manual pouring, measuring & calculating urine output
B. Remote access to flow rate, fill level & temperature for patient's using thermistor based catheter
C. Integration of real time and historic data into health systems (e.g. ICU and EMR systems)

¹ Data varies negligibly by ICU size, and has nearly identical median figures, which attests to the reliability of the study. Assuming nearly any hourly cost of ICU nurses on any shift, the labor cost of these manual tasks quickly hit material dollars per day. The costs associated with accuracy are significantly higher.
